Hi guys! I hope you had a nice, relaxing weekend... I sure did! I ended up working a lot because I had a big burst of ideas over the past few days and had to act on them while they were fresh in my mind! And I am so glad I did, because I am feeling super organized and productive- exactly how I like to feel- on a Sunday especially.
Last night's dinner was pretty, so I wanted to share it. I had an egg white and spinach omelette with tomatoes, summer squash, and zucchini on the side.
Mike, Bo, and Ruby were sleepyheads this morning and I couldn't not take a picture of their ridiculousness. Ruby never used to sleep in our room, but now that we are in a bigger house, I think she doesn't want to feel so left out and alone all the way downstairs!! She usually sleeps on the rug on a blanket, but this morning, she had made her way onto the bed. Lots of laundry going on over here....
I had an awesome chest and bicep workout this morning (who am I), and here is a little video of one of my sets of bench press that I started my workout with! I really only share videos on Instagram these days, but every once in a while you'll be seeing one within the blog, so keep an eye out for both platforms if you're interested in videos. PS. My current favorite Spotify station is "Daily Lift"... full of good, fun, upLIFTing songs!
I followed up my training with a funfetti pancake, nectarine slices, and a protein milkshake.
For lunch, I grilled myself a buffalo chicken burger and had a bunch of spinach and some baby carrots with it.
Mike worked outside and I got a ton of work done inside, and then it was snack time! I had a Josephs pita with peanut butter and a pink lady apple.
Mike made dinner while I finished up a project, and it was SO good. He made grilled buffalo rubbed chicken, roasted broccoli, and fresh tomatoes with sea salt and pepper.
My legs are suuuuuper sore in places they aren't usually sore because my leg day on Friday involved lots of things I am not used to doing! I switched things up AGAIN and created a training program/schedule/split that I really love, find really effective, fun, and not stressful. I'll fill you guys in on that soon, but tomorrow is just a cardio day, so I'm looking forward to flushing these legs out and praying I don't actually fall off of the climber.
Now, it's casein and relaxation time! Have a good night!
