tell me when they go away
Hi guys!! Last night, I made egg whites and roasted asparagus because that is what I was in the mood for! It looks like breakfast, but I can and do eat egg whites throughout the day and don't consider them a "breakfast food". Food is food.
This morning, Mike and I headed to the Y, where I trained legs and did my cardio. This was before...

For breakfast, I made egg whites with spinach and a little twist on oatmeal. I wanted oats as my carbs for this meal, but I also was pretty hungry and wanted to feel full. I put my oats, unsweetened almond milk, and a pinch of xanthan gum, and a splash of vanilla extract in the Ninja and blended it all up. The xanthan gum just adds volume to whatever you add it to, so it worked. These were like cold, fluffy, porridge oats and I topped them with some berries and a little sugar free syrup. I was full for a long time.
My issues with clothes continue. I stopped at the mall to get frames I needed for a gift, but also stopped in a few stores in search of cute summer clothes. I spent a good 90 minutes, found 3 things I thought were what I wanted, tried them on, and nearly lost my mind. Nothing. And at this point, it can't just be me and my body, it's the ridiculous clothes out there!!!!! Please tell me when the high waists, off the shoulder everythings, high necks, and bag lady clothes go away. Until then I will be wearing the four things I own that I actually like and feel good in.
I made a snickerdoodle milkshake and had some dates with it and then cleaned the house for two hours! I cleaned the whole thing and rearranged a couple of things too. I also made Mike a little "To Do" list of things I am tired of looking at and/or waiting for :)
Part of my cleaning involved weeding houseplants- I did it to three of them and it took awhile! Who knew this was even a thing? They do look better now, though.
I worked up another good sweat cleaning and refueled with peanut butter, banana, and sugar free syrup on a FoldIt. The texture of these things is my favorite.
Mike grilled beef tenderloin for dinner and I made a salad with kale, arugula, spinach, tomatoes, and cucumbers and sautéed summer squash and zucchini. Now, it's time to pack for the beach!
