a simple, perfect wednesday

Happy Humpday, friends!!! My day started off perfectly: being woken up by Mike, having my coffee without rushing, and then training out in the garage. This breakfast just added to the perfection of the morning.

I did some bar+plates work and then ran out to get a couple of things. When I got back, I had a protein smoothie in a bowl with cinnamon raisin Ezekiel bread, light canola oil butter, and strawberry jelly. 

Then Mike and our friend Bill came to the door and Bill got started on cutting down our bushes! He cut 8 gigantic ones, they were actually trees, not really bushes, and it has already made such a huge difference. The house looks bigger, crisper, cleaner, prettier... I can't wait to get the rest of the front done and I'll show you! 

I helped Bill a little bit, made sure the trees weren't falling right on him, and then I came in and cleaned the entire house. It was seriously the perfect day- didn't need air conditioning, opened all the windows, did all the laundry, got everything clean with nice neat vacuum lines and no dog prints on the windows (for like 3 minutes at least!)

For dinner, we had taco salads, which I feel like we haven't had in awhile, so they were extra delicious. I use 93% lean ground beef and just add taco seasoning. The salad was just spinach, green peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes... the tomato kick continues. Oh, and Bolthouse Farms ranch yogurt dressing :)

Off to watch Master Chef (for some reason Mike likes this show!) and have my casein milkshake! That's all for now... I hope you had a great day!
