a saturday switcharoo

Hey guys!! Yesterday I was feeling pretty run down and not great, so I came home drank EmergenC while I worked the afternoon away!

Luckily, I know my body so so well and I knew that I needed extra vitamins and extra rest, and I would wake up feeling back to normal. It's worked. I woke up and did some work, then went and did a few errands. When I got back home, I was feeling really good and wanted to try and get my Sunday lift done a day early because Mike and I want to go on an adventure early in the morning tomorrow! 

Giving my body time to wake up for awhile before training today did me good. I never start training at 10:30am, but that's what I did today. Mike was at work, it was super nice and sunny, and it was just me and Bo out in the garage. I ended up having a great (sweaty) lift and feeling extra strong, which I didn't really expect since I was basically skipping my rest day.

I was so hot, so I wasn't in the mood for eggs or any other protein really. I ended up making a snickerdoodle protein milkshake and had a French toast bagel with it. So easy and delicious.

Between sets, I went out and picked the rest of the peonies. I put all three jars in a row on the kitchen table and as soon as you walk in the house, they are all you smell! My favorite!!

Then I washed all the sheets, made all the beds, and colored my hair because I am an old lady who has lots of gray hair and hair that grows extremely fast. A little while after Mike got home, we headed out for an afternoon of fun. My (and Mike's) favorite iced tea that has zero everything was necessary for the ride!

We stopped in Northampton because I can never drive by Northampton again without stopping at Nourish. I had the best cold brew I've ever had, an energy bite, and the Rainbow Bowl.

Then we went to watch our high school's championship baseball game at UMass. My friend who is basically family (I babysat for the entire family since I was 14!) is at bat in this picture! Unfortunately they lost, but pretty awesome that they made it this far!

After the game, we stopped at BJs to stock up!  the three items I go through the fastest are: Dove body wash, peanut butter, and sugar free syrup, so Mike was making fun of me about that in this picture!

When we got home, I was starving and definitely did not eat enough today. I made a quick salad with spinach, mixed greens, and arugula, and had rotisserie chicken (white meat, no skin) and blackberries with it. It was so good and Mike and I talked about how we don't want to hear people complain about not having time to prep meals. You could eat this every night and it would take less than 3 minutes to throw together. It's also very inexpensive and can feed a few people if you get it at BJs! So there!!

I just had peanut butter, and a shake of just casein and water and I am heading to bed! Hope you had a great day!
