Hi!

Welcome to my blog where I share what I eat, how I train, and how I live a happy, healthy life!

Happy Wednesday!!! This morning's training was a pretty tough upper body and back focused session that had me doing heavy paused floor presses, weighted wide grip pull ups with a pause at the top, one arm dumbbell presses, seal rows, and reverse flies. My upper back and triceps are growing already and it feels good!

I made myself an egg white omelette with kale and spinach, apple slices, and whole wheat waffles with sugar free syrup. I am getting real good at breakfast-making. When I think back to how I never ate breakfast through high school and most of my twenties, I just don't know how I functioned. I also skipped tons of other meals and survived on apples and diet coke for quite some time. I don't know how I survived, or what in the world I was thinking, but I am just so glad those years are behind me. I have changed my life, health, fitness, and happiness, and I can't wait to help other people with this as well! Stay tuned!!!!!

Ruby, on the other hand, sometimes goes days without eating! Some days, she eats breakfast and dinner and she is excited for it, and other days, she just doesn't want anything to do with it! She's always been like this and it makes no sense to me! Offer her any human food, though, and she is 100% in.

The school year has reached the point where it is starting to drag. Almost all of the end of the year testing (which is so ridiculous and sad for these tiny people) is done, so I have 16 more school days to fill with fun and different activities! The maximum attention span I'm working with  is approximately 6 minutes, so let me know if you have any ideas ;) I just countdown to my next break and meal and it helps the time pass... is that awful?

After school, my friend Kim stopped over for a little visit and then my friend Evan, who is competing in his first powerlifting meet this weekend, came over to practice commands and talk about openers and the meet in general. It was a busy afternoon over here, but the sun finally came out and felt like fire on my skin because it's been so long!

It was dinnertime before I knew it, and I had strawberries, blackberries, and fat free whipped cream as a little appetizer. I had extra carbs to fill, so this was a perfect and refreshing snack on a summery feeling night!

For dinner, I just cooked up some 99% lean ground turkey and threw in taco seasoning. We had that with spinach, kale, and summer squash.

After we ate, I warmed up a pita and let peanut butter get all melty on it- this is the most delicious snack, I tell you.

Now, it's time for a gigantic thunderstorm, an extra bubbly casein milkshake, and BED! I hope you had an awesome day!
