This morning, I had my last heavy deadlift day before the meet, bench press, and some accessory work. I finished my lift, showered up, and had a quick breakfast of Peanut Butter Blasts cereal, snickerdoodle protein, and unsweetened almond milk. I get the PB Blasts at Target and they're kind of like Kix, but with a peanut butter flavor and wayyyy better texture. Very good!
I opened my classroom door and dropped my entire iced coffee right on the floor. I almost cried. The custodian asked me what I would do without my coffee and I remembered that I brought a Monster!! Day saved. Although I did secretly hope Mike would drop me off a new coffee like a knight in shining armor, but no such luck!!
Protein oats are my favorite food on earth these day.
I went to copy some fun Cinco de Mayo activities and got super jealous of whoever sent this to the printer. I don't know where life will lead me, but I honestly don't see myself doing this until age 56 or 58... sigh.
Crispy, crunchy green peppers are my favorite.
I had a box of raisins and felt like I was a little kid on the beach for a second. I'm pretty sure we always had these raisins around when I was a kid.
I got home, showered, and got right to resting. Peanut butter and mindless lounging... it's part of the program.
I had more PB on Magic Pop a little while later.
While dinner cooked, I had riced cauliflower with marinara sauce, fresh basil, and pepper. If you are low on carbs, not feeling full enough, or just want to get in more veggies, I highly recommend playing around with riced cauliflower! So delicious and nutritious :)
For dinner, I had baked salmon and a kale and spinach salad. I wasn't in love with this dinner tonight, but ate it anyways.
Tonight I had a slushy casein soup (no xanthan gum in it), so I needed a straw and a spoon. It was icy and refreshing and will feed my muscles all night long.
I am headed to my comfy bed! Tomorrow, I think I will give you a tour of the upstairs since it's all finished now! Have a great night.
