Happy Monday! This morning I had overhead press with the plates hanging from the bands, heavy paused front squats, hip ups, and then I spent a while laying around, stretching and feeling my body out. Bo always wants in on whatever you're doing on the floor!
For breakfast, I made an omelette with spinach in a new Cuisinart skillet that I got, which makes the omelette even better than before! I also had a half a bagel with light canola oil butter on it.
When I got into my classroom, I discovered a first grade miracle!! Every single pot had sprouts! Even the one that looks like it doesn't have any sprouts has one, and I added more seeds to it today, just to be safe ;)
Overnight protein oats...
and greens, like usual.
When I got home, I showered, put on the comfiest clothes, had a PB+J on a pita, and did nothing. Actually, I watched YouTube videos (Mark Bell and Juggernaut today) and tried learning new tips and cues.
I had roasted asparagus, kale and spinach salad, green peppers, and baked chicken breast for dinner. So simple and so good.
Have you guys heard of these protein bars made with cricket flour? The lovely Jess at Exo Protein sent me the cutest tank and a ton of protein bars made with CRICKET protein to try out! They are made with all natural ingredients and are like the most sustainable, eco friendly protein bar out there. Did you even know that crickets are a complete protein (they contain all essential amino acids)?? They also contain 2.2x more iron than spinach! They are ALSO a symbol of good luck, and I need all of that I can get!!! Check them out and if you're wondering WHY CRICKETS?!?!?!, read this!
Then I had some more peanut butter while the pups drooled at my feet.
It's time for my casein milkshake and sleeeeeeep. A deep, deep, sleep. Hope your Monday was awesome!
