Boy was I feeling yesterday's busy day of manual labor (and bunches of sets of 8) this morning! I quickly reminded myself that it is week 4 of my program (the final/hardest week) and that THIS IS WHERE I GET STRONGER. The days when it doesn't come easy, the days when I'm feeling beat up, the days when I'm not so sure I'm gonna make every lift... those are the ones that mean the most to me. They help me mentally just as much as they do physically, which is key for someone like me!
It also felt so nice lifting in the nice big, clean garage! The extra flooring also keeps it warmer, which is an added bonus. We turned the heat off after just a little bit.
I had whole wheat waffles with snickerdoodle protein sauce and sugar free syrup before school. The sauce is just the protein powder and enough unsweetened almond milk to make it the texture of a thick and creamy sauce.
It was a sunny spring morning and I was thankful to be heading to a job that adds to my life, rather than takes from it.
Overnight snickerdoodle protein oats made up my carbs and protein for two meals at school today. I say it all the time, but you can make meal prep and taking control of your nutrition as simple or as complicated as you want. I choose simple 98.8% of the time!
Lots of green peppers and cucumbers sprinkled with Kernel Seasons white cheddar were nice and refreshing greens.
When I got home I had a pita and peanut butter and got busy organizing some things.
I had to move my workout clothes to a temporary closet because the one I've been using just can't handle all of this plus all of my Lilly. When we move into the master bedroom, that closet will be able to handle it all!! For now, though, this makes my life much easier, neater, and prettier.
For dinner, I had roasted broccoli and baked chicken. I also had some more peppers and cucumbers for something cold and crunchy.
Tonight's casein was a mix between ice cream and a milkshake- and it was amazing. I have been using about 1/3 of the ninja bottle full of crushed ice, 1/3 unsweetened almond milk, and 1/3 water. Then I add my casein powder and about 1/3 tsp of xanthan gum to give it this consistency. I love it this way the best I think!
I'm gong to bed as soon as our sheets are done in the dryer- I am realllly looking forward to snuggling in my nice clean bed and letting these muscles rest tonight! Hope you had a good Monday!
