Happy Wednesday!!! We are nine days out from my meet now... holy moly! I am still thinking about openers and goals, but after Sunday, I should have it pretty much planned out. People have all different methods for deciding on openers and second and third attempts, and it really all depends on the lifter. I will write more on this topic next week and let you know the thoughts that go through my mind when doing this, and what my coach has to say, and how we put that together!
This morning's lift was great. I benched and had heavy front squat triples. Mike loaded the bar for me and ended up loading it with ten extra pounds. I kind of just thought I was feeling a little fatigued when it felt extra heavy on my shoulders, but then as soon as I finished the lift, he said, "I f*ed up but when I saw how fast the first rep went up, I figured I'd just let you go!" I got all three with 220lbs, which is certainly something I've never done (or attempted) before! A happy accident and it just goes to show how mental I am. If I know my coach programmed it for me, I basically know that I am able to get it. Ya, it's going to be hard because I'm peaking and it's week 3 out of 4, but I have to grind through and get it. I also had weighted chin-ups and box good mornings, as well as some shoulder work.
I made an awesome breakfast: an egg white omelette with spinach, summer squash, and zucchini, and Ezekiel bread with jelly.
At school, I had my protein oats and a super busy day.
These were necessities.
I also had lots of greens and Roasted Garlic Boathouse dressing...
I stopped to get my nails done later this afternoon. I went to this one place that takes extra long, which I can't stand, buttttt they give you lots of neck and shoulder massages during the whole process. So, it was worth the extra time today.
I made zucchini noodles with 99% lean ground turkey and marinara sauce for dinner. I also had a bunch more greens and dressing. This meal reminds me of being a little kid because we had a lot of spaghetti and salad for dinner.
Bo watched me have some peanut butter and licked the air...
And then I had my casein with some PB2 on top.
More peanut butter to top off my macros for the day! I have big squats and more bench tomorrow morning and can't waitttttt!!! I'm probably going to dream about them because I have been having wild dreams lately.
