Happy Saturday, friends! It was a quiet morning over here. Today was a non training day for me, so Mike went off to work and I had an egg white roll up with a waffle for breakfast.
Then, I headed down to see the lovely Alessandra! We were planning on going for a little hike, but it kept raining and was not as nice as we expected, so we went shopping instead! Or, in our case, walking around the mall picking things up and putting them down over and over!!
Then we went for a little lunch. We both had eggs, but these people clearly don't know how much we need to eat. The wheat bread was homeade, though, and really good.
Like I've mentioned before, having Alessandra as a real life friend has made my life exponentially better! We are trying to get together at least monthly, because it is important!! In two weeks, we will compete together and I am so excited (and also can't believe it's 2 weeks away now!) Afterwards, I went to play with her pup, Cal, for a little bit. He is the cutest not-so-little guy!! His head and mouth are gigantic and you just want to squeeze his face!! Just give me all the dogs....
Bo and Rubes were sniffing me like crazy when I got home... definitely wondering where I had been! I had a protein milkshake and hung with my Warrior Girls.
Mike came home and we went to dinner at 4:55pm hahah! Seriously, that is the time I need to eat these days. I had a gigantic meatball and salad, as well as a huge side plate of asparagus. I love me some asparagus and I think the waiter was very surprised when he realized that the whole plate was for me.
When we got home from dinner, it was only like 6pm and it had turned much nicer out, so we went for a little Earth Day walk. It was glorious. Ruby came home with a tick crawling on her, and we've found a few others already this year. Luckily the dogs take tick medicine, so the ticks won't attach to them, but I don't take tick medicine! Maybe I should look into that....
I had a big casein milkshake in a bowl that was sooo yummy. I am definitely preferring this over pro-to style.
And some peanut butter for dessert!
I've got a BIG squat and bench day tomorrow. Send me strength! Have a great night!
