on the go

Today started off with heavy deadlifts, heavy bench press, seal rows, weighted dips, and lots of fun stuff out in the garage!  

I showered up and had these PB Blasts with snickerdoodle protein powder and unsweetened almond milk for a post training meal. I wasn't in the mood for eggs or anything warm, so these were perfect.

I had some cucumbers, packed up some food and headed off to visit my sister for the afternoon!

I got a little car wash on the way. The car wash monthly pass is amazing, but I still get nervous every time I go in (the car wash broke last year while I was in it and a little pile up occurred 😳!!)

I had cinnamon raisin Ezekiel bread with jelly on my ride to my sister's...

and my protein in unsweetened almond milk when I arrived!

We packed up my niece and nephew and headed down to the water for some fresh air and sea glass hunting.

My nephew is wild and doesn't get cold apparently, so he ran around barefoot and we both said we wished it were summer!

These two are real good beach treasure hunters. I found the blue piece of sea glass today, though!

We hung out in the yard all afternoon and just talked. There was some sidewalk chalk drawing going on as well as obstacle courses, bubble blowing, ant chasing, and watching my nephew just run as fast as he could!

On my way home, I had this chicken bar- I don't know what else to call it! It was SO delicious- like a big fat piece of jerky. Check out the macros- perfect for protein on the go. The sodium is high for my liking, but in a pinch, it works.

When I got home (it's about an hour and 45 minute ride), I had baked chicken, asparagus, and salad for dinner. When this was gone, I had another plate of salad because I was really craving fresh greens!

This is one serving of PB (2 tbsp) if anyone isn't sure what a serving looks like. I do weigh it out (32g) on the food scale, and it's amazing how easy it is for people to underestimate a serving of PB!

I am BEAT so it's casein "soup", some Magic Pop and more PB, and bedtime for me!!! Hope your day was great! Check out my IG for some videos from this morning and I'll see ya tomorrow :)
