Happy Monday everyone!
It was a great morning out in the garage... nowhere to be, no time crunch- a pretty awesome feeling! See my IG for some other moments from this am :) I have to say, this vacation does make me excited for this summer. It will be the first summer I'm not working (I have always either taught summer school, coached CF, or babysat)! I see lots of nice hot mornings taking my time out in the gym.
Mike and I had a nice breakfast and stopped at Lowe's before he went to work. I had a long day of painting the fireplace ahead of me...
I started painting at about 10:30am and did not finish until 4:30pm. It was literally a full day of work, but so worth it! This house is weird because side entry, downstairs bathroom and laundry room, kitchen, and sitting room all have oak trim and doors and cabinets, but the rest of the house is all nice white everything! If you know me, you know how I feel about white, so this oak has been killing me. We are having it all painted starting next week, but the fireplace was my job.
Here's a small before and after picture. We are going to get a tv hung above the mantle and the painter is painting the walls as well as all of the woodwork. I took a whole set of before pictures this morning and I will share them with the afters when this first floor is finished. Basically, we are aiming for bright, fresh, clean, soft, and fun with this house. It's on its way...
I stopped for a few minutes and had a snickerdoodle protein milkshake and a pita with light canola oil butter, cinnamon, and Kernel Season's kettle corn seasoning. It was quick and easy and delicious.
After finishing another section of the fireplace, I had protein oatmeal and a bunch of green peppers. My right forearm and shoulder were so tired, the only way I could metally do this whole job was by breaking it up into sections and listening to lots of my favorite songs over and over and over really loud!!
When I finally finished and cleaned everything up (which takes so much time for this impatient person), I had Magic Pop with peanut butter and sugar free syrup.
I headed to the grocery store to grab some fresh greens and meat for the week. I am seriously loving all of the bright, beautiful spring flowers and summer-y veggies that are filling the market lately! I also love this flavor of Vitamin Water Zero, so I grabbed a nice cold one as a little pre-dinner pick me up.
We had roasted broccoli and asparagus with baked salmon for dinner. I love when my broccoli pieces are small and asparagus spears are thin, so these were the perfect veggies for me tonight.
Now it's time for my chocolate casein with dry PB2 for dessert, vitamins, and BED.
Have a great night!
