the day after my birthday slump

Happy Thursday, friends! I am very ready for this week to be  O V E R ! I jinxed myself when I said I had been getting good sleep and feeling great haha! Yesterday wore me out I think, because today I woke up feeling pretty beat. Maybe it's the day after my birthday slump?!

Today was the last day of this program, and it was harddd. But hard things make you stronger, so it's all good. And the fact that I was able to front squat 225lbs a bunch of times while I felt like I was pretty much sleeping is probably a good sign. See Instagram for that and more from my lifts this morning :)  Tomorrow, I rest and sleep in a little because I'm going to lift with my favorite girl, Alessandra early Saturday morning!!

I was pretty starving after my lift, so I had my overnight snickerdoodle protein oats with sugar free syrup before I even showered.

I also just felt completely disheveled this morning. My lunch box was too full, my big purse/bag was a mess and full of JUNK, and my front seat of my car basically just stressed me out. That's not how I like to feel! As soon as I got to school, I cleaned everything out and organized my bag and got my life together so I could get on with it!

I wore the cute new top my sister sent me for my birthday, so I sent her this picture before the school day started. I love the little bright pink fish in this print <3

On my prep time, I had a Joseph's pita with egg whites, broccoli, and green peppers. I put sugar free ketchup on it, some Kernel Seasons ranch seasoning, and folded it up like a taco- it was sooo good! Anyone who comes in to talk to me at this time (10:15am) always looks kind of confused when they see me eating... they don't get it!

I also had a banana for some carbs. And peace and quiet.

At lunchtime, I had basically the same meal, but with arugula and spinach.

I ate the rest of the green peppers on the side. I forgot the apple I wanted with this meal, so I told myself I would just stop for a Lenny and Larry's cookie after school because I needed extra carbs bad!!

I did stop and I got a lemon poppy seed one. That's two days in a row now having one of these, and that's enough for awhile. I do not like eating these a lot for a few reasons. 1. I don't WANT the extra protein! 2. They aren't that good anymore- the recipe has definitely changed and every cookie tastes different every time 3. They don't fill me up or make me feel as good as other carb sources (Ezekiel bread and oatmeal are my top favorites) Note to self: stop and get more Ezekiel bread stat!!!

When I got home, my cute friend came by and gave me a super sweet birthday present and visited for a bit! Then I had to run out and do a couple things, and stop and visit Mike at work with Bo Bo.

Then we went and had dinner at this pizza shop that we love to get takeout from. I always get this Greek salad with grilled chicken on the side and it's kind of my favorite thing. The peppercini are my favorite part! I'm not gonna lie, we will probably have the same thing for take out tomorrow night.

We just got home and I already had my casein almond-milkshake and peanut butter. I can barely keep my eyes open, so it's time to sleeeeeep! Hope you had a great day!!
