Hi guys!!! Happy Monday! This morning's training included heavy overhead presses and back off sets, heavy front squat triples with 3 second pauses, deadlifts with 3 second pauses at the shin, dumbbell shoulder presses, and 6x6 weighted chin ups that crushed me.
After I showered, I had peanut butter Puffins with snickerdoodle protein and almond milk as my post workout meal.
I had this Vitamin Water Zero in place of a coffee on my way to school. Refreshing!!
At my prep time, I had Ezekiel bread with PB2 and regular Smuckers strawberry jelly. If I want the carbs, I'll have the regular jelly, if I don't want the carbs, I eat Sugar Free Polaner brand jelly (in case any of you were wondering!) Cucumbers and turkey meat for my greens and protein, and a mango La Croix that tastes like St. John 💕
At lunchtime, I had green peppers and cherry tomatoes along with leftover spaghetti squash and meat sauce from last night.
Literally the entire state is closed tomorrow, so I did some errands after school... not looking forward to being cooped up tomorrow! Thank god for the garage gym, I will be spending a little extra time in there tomorrow!
I grabbed some of the essentials we were running low on at BJs.
In the bottom right hand corner are chicken sausages with onions and peppers. They were the lowest fat chicken sausage I found there, and they look really good for when I feel like switching up my protein source a bit! The macros are 15p, 4c, 6f per link and the brand is Harvestland by Perdue. The downside is the sodium- 560mg- which certainly makes these less appealing as a recurring protein source for me.
I'm way behind on watching YouTube videos- probably because I am not walking or ellipticalling at all. My coach wanted me to watch Juggernaut's episode of Squat School with Meg Squats and think about some of the specific cues and practice some of what they were coaching on there. I watched it, and tomorrow, I'm going to spend a good amount of time practicing. Certain coaches have made me believe that being quad dominant hindered my squat in some ways, but this has helped me believe that those quads are going to come in real handy if I fire them up correctly. Watch the video and learn something new!
Dinner tonight was baked chicken breast, riced broccoli and cauliflower, and asparagus.
Bo and Rubes wanted to say hey. (Actually they just wanted a treat ;)
Peanut butter time (see Bo sneaking up trying to beg?!)
And chocolate casein pro-yo with a little sprinkling of PB2 on top!
Time for bed!! I'm happy there's no school and Mike gets to stay home with me and hang out in the garage for a long time, but wish there was no snow involved!! See you all tomorrow night xoxo
