so long sweet summer

Well, summer is officially over for me as of tomorrow! It was a very busy one between teaching summer school (terrible idea, by the way), putting our house on the market, my meet, getting ready to teach a new grade at a new school, and all kinds of other stuff sprinkled in there. But it was productive, and I am excited for what is to come.

Mike made last weekend special by taking a surprise day off on Saturday and taking me to Watch Hill. It was the best day trip and we definitely needed a little day away.

And then on Sunday, we had our annual Zac Brown Band concert at Fenway! We spent the afternoon shopping on Newbury Street and eating lunch before we headed into Fenway. It was another pretty perfect day <3

On Tuesday, my friends and I met up and went to the beach in Milford CT, which was so nice. Considering I hadn't been to the beach since July 3rd, going twice in one week was a real treat, and obviously spending the day with the girls was great!ย

This Friday, we had another fun day/night at the Kenny Chesney concert at Gillette with some of our friends. Zac and Kenny concerts are summer traditions for us, and something we look forward to every year (even though they usually mean summer is ending). Now it's just time to start counting down to our St. John vacation!

I went into my new school on Thursday morning to finish up a couple of things, and honestly I was starting to feel a little nervous. I am extremely happy about my new school, but it's been at least 8 years since I've felt nervous or unsure about my first day of school! Well, I immediately felt so much better when I found all of this on my desk...

People I don't even know yet left me such nice welcome gifts and notes- I couldn't even believe it! Walking in to find that made me feel so much better and truly made my day <3

So that's all for now, this was just a little wrap-up, goodbye to summer post I wanted to share with you! I'll see you tomorrow with a meal prep and training post where I talk about my new program and what I am doing next!!!
