Hi!

Welcome to my blog where I give you a peek into how I live my healthy, happy life!

all mixed up

Hey there! Things have been non-stop over here for the past week or so, so this post is truly "all mixed up". It's the only way I can mentally handle blogging right now, so see if you can follow along!

Yesterday afternoon, I came home from summer school and *finally* I spent some time relaxing in silence, reading my book. After a crazy few days, it was just so nice have some peace and appreciate the moment. The windows were open, sun was shining in, and the curtains were blowing in the breeze. It was pretty perfect.

On Sunday afternoon, Mike and I went to our friends' wedding up in Ipswich. It was a beautiful wedding and it was nice spending time with my handsome husband all dressed up {and beating him in tic-tac-toe twice}.

On Saturday morning, Ruby joined me to enjoy a few extra minutes of waking up before actually getting up!

Saturday afternoon, Mike took me for a little lululemon shopping and then we stopped for one of my favorite giant salads. This is a chopped salad with shrimp and it is way bigger than it looks! It takes me SO long to eat it, which makes me love it even more (and I am a super fast eater)! It's just lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, asparagus, and cucumbers with shrimp.

You can find me at the yoga studio about five times a week these days and I swear, practicing more often has changed me so much. It's a pretty private thing to me, and nothing I feel I can really explain and do it justice.

On Sunday morning, I got my lifts in at the gym with my coach, and then had to shower and change there for the crazy day that was ahead of me. Gym -> Baby Shower-> Wedding. It was definitely the busiest day of my life.

Since our weekend was crazy, I had to wait until Monday afternoon to stock up on some stuff at BJs. There is something about a BJs trip that just makes my life feel so much more complete :)

Mike dropped me off at the baby shower after the gym on Sunday morning, and then he picked me up and we headed out on our 2 hour trip to the wedding. He knew I was going to be struggling (because I am an old, tired lady), so he packed me some ice cold energy. He's a good, good husband.

The other night, we had super refreshing spinach, cucumber, tomato, and grilled chicken salads. I topped mine with Kernel Season's white cheddar seasoning and some balsamic vinegar... yum!

Here is a peek into the garage gym mid-workout! Everything everywhere... I love it. PS: Banded paused deadlifts are killers.

And here is my view as I do my floor presses! Bo loves hanging out up on the box and watches my every move... love him!

Summer school involves a lot of meals for the kiddos, which is perfect for me and my eating schedule! Their snack time is perfect for my second meal time, and then their lunch is when I have my third meal. The kids are very intrigued by my spinach and egg salads and are constantly asking me if and why I am eating leaves. One day they asked me if the plant in the classroom is where I got all the leaves I eat! They also like to tell me at 9:45 snack time, that "It's not lunch time yet!!" SIX more days of summer school (but who is counting!?)

Here are a couple of exciting things...

The federation that I compete in currently just released the new state and national records.

These are the Massachusetts State Records for my weight class and division:

And this was more exciting to see myself in 5th place nationwide based on bodyweight and total weight lifted!
