so this is summer

Happy humpday everyone!!! The first two days of my summer vacation have been pretty wonderful! Mike and I came home from the Cape early Monday morning so I could go in for my last day of school. It was nice to enjoy a full day on the beach on Sunday and not have to worry about leaving that night.

The full moon was up as we drove away from my parents' house at 4:45am...

The last day of school was a strange half-day, but I met Mike for lunch and then he came and helped me move the rest of my stuff out of my classroom. Right now, everything is at our house until I move into my new room next week, which I am so excited for! 

After school, I went and stocked up on food for the week and felt much better about life in general.

And since we were away on Sunday, our week of training got pushed back a day, so we went and lifted AT NIGHT! This is weird for me, but it's definitely a first for my husband. After about 7pm, he is done with life, so he really had to psych himself up for this little change in schedule ;) It was awesome, though- felt so good to lift (3 days off feels too weird to me, 1 or 2 days off in a row is perfect).

Tuesday morning, we "slept in" until 6:30 and then lifted in the garage. The rest of my first day of summer involved washing my hair (of note because I only do this once a week!), getting my eyelashes done, and then helping my friend Evan. He runs a summer lifting program for athletes at the high school in the city we both work in! He asked me to come work on cleans with some of the athletes, so of course, I did! It was very fun and I ended up working with a couple of former students of mine who I had when they were in fourth and fifth grade and I was their Science teacher (aka I felt old!)

Today was a non-training day for me, so I knew it was the perfect morning to go try out this amazing new yoga studio, Sweat Power Yoga

You guys, I think I am going again tomorrow, so I will see if I can take a couple pictures of the inside, but this is the most beautiful studio I've ever been in. Like, I could honestly live in it and be so happy. And I am in love with the instructors, they are so sweet and inspiring (I already knew one and have taken class with her a few times in the past!) I am obsessed, and it felt so good to give my sore muscles some love early this morning. 

After class, I picked up smoothies for Mike and myself, had a lovely, leisurely breakfast by myself, then made a smoothie delivery to Mike at work!

Ooh, I almost forgot that last night, we went and got me a laptop of my very own! The laptop I had been using belonged to the school I worked at, and I used it as my personal laptop as well. Well, I had to turn it in on Monday, so Mike and I agreed that with all of the blog stuff, the new job, and whatnot, I should have a laptop of my own. So last night, we went and I got a MacBook Pro... I'm in love with it already!
