Hi!

Welcome to my blog where I give you a peek into how I live my healthy, happy life!

what's new and what's next?!?

Happy Monday, my friends!

Last week, after my meet, I took a deload week and just played around in the gym, basically doing whatever I felt like. It was nice, but after a couple days of it, I was dying to get back on a program and have a focus again!

Sunday morning, I was so ready to go get my new program and get my first workout in! My coach wrote will be writing my programs now and tailoring them to my needs more specifically. My next meet is on July 31st, and it is a "push/pull" meet. That means that it is only bench and deadlift, no squat this time. I am looking to increase my bench a little, but really make some deadlift gains for this one! Time to really grow my hamstrings, glutes, and backside in general, which will benefit my deadlift AND squat. That July 31st meet is on the horizon, and I am also thinking about competing in a big USAPL meet at the end of August.....

Mike and I will be going to train at Powerhouse on most Sundays, and in our garage during the week. It is nice to train with my coach right there, obviously, but also to be around more people with similar interests, goals, and knowledge! And just as a random side note, the number of water bottles we use during one training session is a little ridiculous!

I ordered some custom Nike Metcon 2s and I am obsessed with them! I don't think I have ever owned a pair of WHITE sneakers... I am all about color and patterns! I used to make fun of Mike for his white Nano's (they were ugly though), but for some reason, I just became obsessed with these Metcons. I customized them to say part of my favorite Henry Rollins' quote, and they are perfect.

Yesterday afternoon, we took Bo for a ride and shopping at Evergreen Walk. We got him some ice cream and brought home some doggy canolis for him and Rubes! Spoiled, spoiled!

This was last night's dinner and it was really good! Zucchini noodles with chopped garlic and parsley and topped with lemony shrimp. I obviously added my Kernel Seasons White Cheddar seasoning and it was deliciousss! Check my Instagram for some more pictures of meals from last week :)

This is the last week of school for me, and I am SO excited. This year actually flew by and the end of the year definitely crept up on me, but there is nothing better than summer in my world! I am so ready.

That's all really! I am having trouble walking/standing/functioning today thanks to the first two days of my new program, so I'm going to go eat and REST! See you later this week!!
