let the peaking begin!

Hi guys! Happy Monday! I feel like we have some catching up to do. First of all, thank you to everyone who read my last post, commented, messaged, emailed, etc! It was kind of embarrassing for me, but I'm so glad I put it out there because so many of you could relate and find inspiration in it, and I loved hearing from each and every one of you!!

If you follow me on Instagram, yesterday I mentioned that I have a new training program and schedule, and a new COACH! I didn't technically have a coach since officially making the switch to powerlifting. I was coaching myself and following RP's programming, which is/was amazing. But now that I am four weeks out, I am "peaking" for my meet, and I wanted a more customized program and some actual face to face coaching by a powerlifting coach.

So, Chris (also my trainer from long ago) wrote me an awesome awesome peaking program that will take me from yesterday up until the day of the meet. My training schedule has also changed with this new program and I now train at his gym on Sundays. This way, I can use the different equipment he has (hello reverse hyper and GHD!), get commands from him, and he can help fix some little things in my lifts right then and there. Besides Sunday, I am now lifting Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, which is different for me and made this morning feel really weird! I had been so used to training Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. But this program is my bible for the next four weeks, and I can't wait to see what happens!

I also feel like lifting at the gym where the meet is being held, and having all kinds of people around watching me (and completely zoning them out), will help me so much mentally. Their bench feels different than ours, the bar feels different and the markings are different, along with some other stuff. So, I am happy to have some time to get used to as much as I can to make me less of a mental case at my meet!

I know you guys like seeing and hearing about what I have been eating, so here are some pictures of some of my meals from the weekend!

I have been wanting egg whites like crazy lately- like any/every meal of the day- don't know what's up with that! I cook them in coconut oil pan spray, so they end up tasting a little coconutty and then I add salt and pepper, or sometimes Kernel Season's white cheddar seasoning! I also still make my veggie filled egg whites. YUM!

I picked some of my lettuce last night and we had our first salad with it... sooo good!

And, there is good news in the bathroom. It's 98% done! We still need the light and vent hooked up, the mirror hung, and the radiator end caps installed, but it's functional. I'll post a little collage of every step of this lovely process when it is 100% done!
