Hi guys! It's been a while since I have documented a full day in my life, so here you go! I thought it would be cool to show a day when I am not working, yet still working out and just doing whatever! Enjoy!
5:30am I wake up. Even though it's vacation week, Mike still works, so we get up early to get our training in without having to rush! We are staying at my parents' house which is just a few minutes down the road because our bathroom currently has no toilet, sink, walls, or ceiling.
I drink a Blender Bottle (28oz) full of cold cold water while the coffee is brewing.
Coffee time!! My parents have half and half, so I use a splash of that.
6:30 We head to our house to workout!!
I drink my protein/carbs/water mixture before and during my training, along with BCAAs mixed with water.
My workout today looks like this:
- 3 sets of deadlifts with 290#
- 4 sets of high bar back squats with 240#
- 3 sets of pull ups with a 15# plate
- 3 sets of lateral raises with 15# dumbbells
There's a clip of some deadlifts on my Instagram, but here are some more videos from the morning. My squats felt SO good- I even did an extra one on my last set!
8:30 Breakfast time!
I have my normal egg whites, spinach, broccoli, peppers and onions along with some oatmeal today. I don't like cooked oatmeal, but I love overnight oats soaked in almond milk. I didn't soak these overnight, just for a few minutes, and they are just as delicious.
10:00 Eyelash appointment. I don't like going too long between appointments because I don't want my lashes to ever look "naked", but some people wait a month or more to go get "a fill" (lash lingo). I like to go about every two and a half weeks.
11:15 I grab a venti iced coffee with soy milk to enjoy while I do some errands.
I buy a ton of cards for the all kinds of celebrations and happy things coming up within the next month! I also get some peony scented hand soap and lotion, in hopes that our bathroom will be so beautiful and functional soon.
12:30 I grab some lunch for Mike and the plumber. At the house, I cringe when I hear that this is "progress".
I make my lunch and sit out on the deck to eat in the sun! I have baked chicken breast, Ezekiel bread with butter, cucumbers, peppers, and water.
2:00 The dogs and I head back to my parents' house and head out for our walk. It's a hilly 4 miles, and the sun and warmish temperatures completely wear these guys out! A lot of people ask me what I do now for cardio, and this is it- walking! I usually walk 4-5 miles a few times a week (usually on my non-training days but it's vacation week and gorgeous out). I could write a whole post about it, but I'm seriously loving my new approach.
3:00 I'm not really hungry, but realize that I am running late on my eating for the day, so I have a Quest bar to fulfill my protein portion of my next meal.
I head to the grocery store to grab a couple of things and then go and clean my car. Having these dogs in the car, as well as all kinds of plants and soil this past weekend has made my car feel gross and I can't handle it! I get the outside washed (still scares me every time) and then I vacuum and wash all of the seats and windows basically anywhere I see dirt or dust. Call me Danny Tanner ;)
I'm dying of thirst, so I open one of the cans of seltzer I got at the grocery store. It's delicious! I LOVE cherry flavor mixed with anything, and lemon mixed with anything, so I had a feeling this would be good.
4:00 I go back to my house to have the rest of my afternoon meal. I have a some really ripe and juicy cantaloupe for my carbs and then cucumbers for my greens. It is light and refreshing after sweating on my walk and cleaning my car! I also have an ice cold, giant seltzer. At this point, my gallon and a half of water for the day is already met.
5:00 I go back to my parents and find the dogs still sleeping after their walk! I finally shower and do some laundry. My dad comes home and looks hungry, so I start getting our dinner ready!
6:00 Mike gets "home", showers, and we eat. We have chopped salad with baked chicken and some avocado. We rarely have cold dinners like this, but I think the warm, sunny weather put me in the mood for it!
7:30 We watch Jeopardy while I make some videos for the blog. I sip on another seltzer (that's a lot more seltzer than usual today! I'm loving the bubbles today I guess!)
8:30 I have my vanilla casein with water. I usually add a scoop of PB2 to make it extra delicious, but that's at home, so I add a little cinnamon and it's pretty good. I also have a piece of Mike's Lenny and Larry's Oatmeal Raisin cookie... Yummm!
I also have a cup of chamomile tea while catching up on some blogs. My favorite is peppermint tea, but I couldn't find any of that over here.
9:00 Time for bed! Can I tell you again how much I love being on vacation??
