it went like this

Hi guys! I've been having a nice little vacation week over here. I would be really happy if it would never end :)

Monday went like this: lift, shop, yoga, dinner, bed. Pretty much a perfect day to me!

Tuesday started with a little conditioning workout with Mike that you can see part of on my IG :) Then, I helped my friend out in my gym before heading to my new dentist. The best part of going to the dentist now is getting my teeth whitened afterwards. It is like a spa there, so it is actually very relaxing and the reward of super sparkly white teeth afterwards is enough to make me not cancel my appointments!

I had to eat colorless food all day after that, which is REALLLLLY hard for me! So here is egg whites with a ton of cauliflower cooked in, and a pita with peanut butter.

Wednesday morning was wild and went like this: lift, breakfast, help my friend in my gym, errands, get into an accident INSIDE THE CAR WASH, then GET LOCKED OUT OF MY CAR,  eyelash appointment.

I go to the car wash multiple times a week, and this has never happened to me, but it has always scared me a little! I actually don't even know what happened, but I was sitting there with a car in front of me and a bunch of cars behind me, and everything was going great until it wasn't. All of a sudden, it felt like I was banging into something, then something was smashing into me and I just kept getting bumped back and forth! Someone started honking and they shut off the car wash, but we were all locked in our cars wondering what just happened to our cars! Finally the guy came and said there was no damage and someone went off the track- SCARY! So I drove out and got out to check my car to make sure there were no marks anywhere, and then I locked myself out of my running car in the freezing cold!!! Those are my keys on my seat... and my coat.

My friend was waiting for me at our eyelash appointment down the road, so luckily Mike came to the rescue about 30 minutes later and unlocked my car! In the meantime I tried staying warm near the hood of my car, but I couldn't really leave it since it was running! That was fun.

The next part of the day was fun though... eyelashes! I have been wanting to get eyelash extensions for a long time because mascara is really the only makeup I wear, but if I don't have it on, I look like a tired little boy. Well, it has just been driving me insane, and was becoming way too hard to put on and take off multiple times a day because of how much I shower--- and eyelashes were coming out every time I did it! So, when my friend said she wanted them too and knew a great lash stylist, we decided to go together!

I am IN LOVE. I will have to go monthly to get them filled in, but honestly it is so worth it to me. I feel like I look so much more awake, I don't have to worry about mascara anymore!!!!, and they just make me feel pretty. Just like gel manicures (my one other consistent beauty regime), they are just worth it.

This picture was taken this morning, during our workout. I had just woken up- didn't shower, didn't wash my face, didn't put anything on my face or eyes.... YAYY!!

Last night, my dad came over for dinner and he noticed them (and liked them a lot), which I totally did not expect!

Here are a few more random meals I took pictures of this week,,,

And now, for those of you who care about this stuff, I'm about to celebrate my 6 year anniversary with my little house...we've certainly been through a lot together! Last month, I decided that it was time to make our main living spaces the way I have always wanted them. I was done with the furniture that I never really loved (some came from Mike's old house, some we bought and I just didn't love). I was embarrassed having people over because it just didn't feel comfortable and the style was just not reflecting me- and that's something that's really important to me! I've always loved the "shabby chic" style, but Mike convinced me we could never really do it because we can't have a lot of white with two dogs. Well, if you know me, you can probably guess that I found a way to make it happen... finally!

Long story short, I am finally really happy with our decor and style of our home. Having smaller furniture pieces, brighter walls, and the couches of my dreams makes me very happy- and happy to have company now! Everything feels bigger and cleaner and just like we have more space, which is really important when you have a small home <3
