monDIARY

4:00am: waking up to the alarm today was not fun. I much prefer waking up to the rooster outside the villa on St. John and the smell of Mike making our coffee!! 

5:00am: Mike and I left the house and I drank about 1/3 of my workout drink (strawberry whey protein and carb powder) before the workout.

5:30am: Metcon time. Today was a chipper that went like this- 50 double unders, 40 shoulder to overhead (95#), 30 calorie row, 20 box jumps @24", 30 calorie row, 40 shoulder to overhead, and 50 double unders. I finished in 15:30Rx. I was dying.

I drank a little more of my drink during the workout while clipping into the rower, and the rest when I was done to get my recovery going!

6:15am: Mike and I got home and I showered, got ready for school, and made us breakfast. This is my everyday breakfast: Egg whites, chopped broccoli, onions and peppers. I also had a Josephs Flax, Oat Bran, and Whole Wheat Pita dipped in sugar free syrup (that's what is in the small mug). I also had leftover iced coffee with skim milk from yesterday. I don't know why Mike looks purple... He's not! Just ran :)

10:15m: At my prep, I browsed the Lilly sale and had my food. This is pretty much what I eat during the week for two meals a day- 93% lean ground beef with taco seasoning, chopped green peppers, cherry tomatoes, and a side of cucumbers. It's so super easy to put together and it's delicious. I've been having it for a long time now and haven't gotten tired of it, so that's saying something for sure!!

12:00pm: Lunchtime. I had the same thing I had at the last meal, except with brown rice this time. The healthy carbs get my muscles ready for my afternoon lifts!

3:15pm: I got home from school, changed and let the dogs out wile I made another protein and carb shake for before and during my workout. It's so good and it's long gone by the end of all my lifting- I think I need to get one of those giant Blender Bottles I've seen!

I did front squats, shoulder press, pullups, and some other fun stuff...

Then I drank a bunch of water and headed to hot vinyasa.  It was a great class as always, my shoulders were on fire the entire time.

When I got home, Mike had dinner ready for me! He knew I would be starving and luckily he knows exactly what and how much I eat and when haha. He's a good guy and my #1 supporter! It was whole wheat spaghetti with chicken and asparagus in a little soy sauce and sirachia. Spicy and delicious!

After I showered, I had my favorite little treat- Magic Pop with organic peanut butter and sugar free syrup.

And finally, I had my vanilla casein with PB2, ice, and not a lot of water so it's nice and thick like a milkshake!

Then it was off to bed! I've changed up my workout schedule so that My training days are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday right now, so I was really looking forward to my Tuesday rest day after this!
