Hello and happy almost-Wednesday! My sense of days is all messed up now that I'm on a different training schedule! My weeks used to be so symmetric- train on M, T, Th, F, rest right in the middle and on the weekend. Now, my training days have shifted to Sun, Mon, Wed, Thu, which makes me feel like each week is a day longer, but I am sure I'll get used to it soon :)

So, speaking of training, I started a new program that has me doing more sets and higher reps, still with pretty heavy weight.

Sunday was my first day on it, and to sum it up, doing 8 reps of heavy-ish deadlifts and front squats is a lot different than 3 or 5. Like I kinda want to fall over, pass out, and/or throw up different. And A LOT of walking lunges with a barbell that is almost at your bodyweight is a good way to grow a very nice bum. I felt it instantly. Simply put, I'm toast after just the first two days.

Yesterday morning, I warmed up the garage real quick with my metcon. I am doing metcons twice a week, but I am being picky about what I do so that I will not be trashed for my lifts. My lifts have become my top priority and the metcons are now just my conditioning.

Mike has adopted my way of eating over the past couple of months, so now I've got him weighing his food and being much more conscious of what and when he is eating. This means that the number of green peppers (and the amount of chopping I have to do),  along with all of the other staples to my diet have now tripled! That's ok, though, it is so worth it to have a happy and healthy husband :)

He had this perfect dinner ready for me last night when I got home from yoga. Chicken, butternut squash, broccoli, and grilled summer squash with onions.

And now I have a few random pictures before I say goodbye! Mike loves taking pictures of me on the couch. He thinks I'm sleeping, but I'm really just resting and counting down until football season is over.

My breakfast is kind of like an egg white salad these days. Broccoli, onions, and peppers make it extra delicious (and some of my Kernel Seasons ranch flavoring instead of salt and pepper makes it so goooood!)

And finally, while I was trying to take a picture of my mismatched, yet still matching workout clothes yesterday, I realized how awesome my shoulders are looking! #sorrynotsorry
