on the go

Hi guys! It was a very busy weekend for us and I am finally recovered from being on the go for three days straight. If you know me, you know I need my sleep and really can't function without a good 7-9 hours a night, so this weekend was a bit of a challenge for me, but it was all good stuff!  

Friday afternoon, we headed into Boston to see Zac Brown at Fenway. This is one of our traditions that I love and I look forward to every summer. And concerts at Fenway really are just the best.

Saturday morning I relaxed by the pool until Mike got out of work and we got ready for our friend's wedding. We headed up to Greenfield and spent the gorgeous afternoon and night celebrating some pretty awesome people <3

Sunday morning was spent with some more relaxation time by the pool and letting the dogs play for awhile.

Because then we headed back to Boston for one more Zac Brown show this year. Before that, though, we shopped on Newbury Street, had a late lunch, and shopped some more at the Prudential Center. I was in heaven with Mike letting me shop at Lilly and lululemon all day long :)

Before we went into the ballpark, we went to Bleacher Bar, which was so cool and I don't know why I've never been there before!

We got home at about 11:30 on Sunday night, which is about 3 hours past my bedtime! Monday morning, I had to coach at 6, and I really like working out before coaching, so I set my alarm for 4am and was determined to stick to my normal schedule.  

I am so glad I did. 

The workout was a great one- wall balls and deadlifts. I just pushed on through the five rounds and didn't think too much about anything other than getting it done.

Then I coached and headed into school for a full day of more classroom set-up. I am kind of loving my new classroom and I am very happy to be teaching a new grade and younger kids this year. It makes the end of summer not so terrible because I know it is going to be a much better year for me than last year.

After school, I went and did my squats, and spent some time working on butterfly pullups and bar muscle ups- two skills that I am hoping to get soon. I got a bar muscle up with a blue band, and I can do like 3 butterfly pullups, so it is a start. 

I was pretty proud of myself for getting all of that done on Monday- a day when I could have easily skipped most of it and said I was just too tired. I posted about it on Instagram, but if you really want something, you have to make it a priority and not make excuses. For me, it's my lifestyle, my routine, and skipping a day that is not a planned rest day just doesn't work for me.
