Hi!

Welcome to my blog where I share what I eat, how I train, and how I live a happy, healthy life!

20 minutes is a long time

Last Friday morning started with a good little chipper. Anything involving a bear complex {or part of the complex} and I'm a fan.

Saturday I went to yoga and realized I felt absolutely terrible. I was so exhausted after a late dinner out on Friday night, and Bo was happy to rest with me for a bit.

That afternoon, my dad took Mike and I golfing. I learned to golf when I was 12, and it's really something that my dad and I do together. I would probably get way more into it if there weren't so many rules. Tank tops, sleeveless shirts, and short shorts are literally all I wear. Good thing I found Crossfit ;)

It was a fun afternoon!

Mike and I drove the ball to exactly the same spot- just on the edge of a sand trap.

We are dog/pool/house sitting this week for friends and it's Ruby's favorite week of the year. She LOVES swimming, laying in the sun, and spying on new neighbors.

Sunday night came around and I could not fall asleep and it made me so angry because I had a long day ahead of me. After three or four hours of sleep, I did this horrible, long thing all by myself at 5am. 12 rounds plus 2 cleans later, the twenty minutes were finally over. I didn't love it.

Then I coached until 8am and headed into school {WAHHHHHHH} to check if my classroom floors had been waxed. Surprisingly, they were bright and shiny and I went in and moved some stuff around. Tomorrow I am going in again and I am determined to get at least 80% finished so that I don't have to worry about anything until a couple of days before school starts.

This morning's Endurance WOD:

As soon as I got up and checked what the workout was, my coach texted me- it was like he was actually inside of my mind.

I love that- "You wanted it, you got it!!!" I did want it and I've been working hard on my running, so I'm glad I can do that extra work. That meant a 20 minute EMOM of 100m sprints. Another twenty minute workout. That is long in the Crossfit world. It was good, though, and I finished each sprint in about 16 seconds and stayed very consistent.

Then, Mike and I did the kettle bell WOD to finish off our morning at the box.

The rest of my day was filled with visiting with friends from school, lifting this afternoon, and hanging with the dogs all evening. Time for bed!!

Have a good night :)
