Wednesday's workout was a serious lung burner that sounded so simple... Those are always the ones to watch out for!!

I worked out with Mike and our friend, Evan, and tried to keep up with them the whole time. I did for the most part, just until the last couple of burpees and runs. It was the sprinting that caught up to me- my legs felt like they weighed 8000 pounds! I finished in 8 minutes exactly! 

Thursday morning was a complete mental and physical victory for me. The night before, I was feeling awful and basically had pain meds and fro yo for dinner because that was all I even felt like eating. Thursday morning was deadlifts 5x3, and going off 315#, I wanted to get 285x3. Last time, I got it for one set of three, then dropped to 275 for my last set, but all of muscles were fried, so I didn't even lift that.  

This time, Mike wasn't there {he took the day off}, my lifting coach who I really rely on mentally all the time wasn't there  {he left me for TWO WHOLE WEEKS!!!}, and I was definitely not fueled properly. But somehow, I psyched my own self up and told myself I had to get both sets of 285x3 and these heavy sets are where I get stronger. It worked! I made all my lifts this time and the last set of three went up pretty easily!!

I took Friday morning off after 6 days straight of great workouts. It was a pretty hellish week at school, so as soon as I got out on Friday, I decided I deserved a treat.

That was as good as my Friday night got. I had to go do my CPR/AED training. It wasn't that bad, we just practiced the skills on dummies as a group and then got tested. The online portion was a lot more difficult than the real-life part!

I also decided I deserved these pretty hydrangeas and peonies just because they make me happy. Hopefully my parents' peonies will bloom soon and I can go steal some of those special ones <3

On Saturday morning, I went straight to Brimfield to search for some little treasures. I got some more mermaid and pineapple hooks, angel wings for the wall that I've been wanting, and some cute little cast iron creatures. This flying pig is my favorite because it reminds me to keep chasing my dreams and make my reality what I want it to be- regardless of what others may say or think.

Saturday night, Mike's sister had a class reunion to go to, so she and her family stayed at our house. We watched our 1 1/2 year old nephew for the night and played trucks, read books, and watched him run around while keeping him from climbing up the stairs and backflipping off the couch!

And then it was Sunday.... Mike coached me through another run, and it was a tough one for me. I had to stop twice and Mike looked disappointed in me haha. It was way hot because we didn't go until much later than normal and we were going pretty fast {for me}. On the hills, he kept telling me "this is where you get stronger", and I was wondering if he'd read my mind because that is seriously my new motto whenever I do hard things.

This was me after the run.. Pink & mint from head to toe today {face included!} I got some new running shoes {Nike Fly Knit} and I loveeee them!

We closed out the weekend with my niece's "Barn Babies" birthday party this afternoon and it was the cutest thing.

And when you're starving to death and have a long ride home, pulled pork and blackberries do the trick.
