backwards from today

Ruby has gotten really lazy lately. She can't even be bothered to jump up on our giant front window when we get home. She just rests her little head on the windowsill and it really makes me sad. She and Brutus used to bark and jump and make a big ordeal of every single time we came home... It's pretty quiet these days.

I love that my Bella bar is seasoned with chalk. I don't even have to think about where to grip for the different lifts anymore ;)

Today I learned that Jamberrys are great and last through pretty much anything.... EXCEPT the hook grip. Both of my thumbs slid right off this afternoon!

You can really tell how dirty my classroom floor is with my bright white pants against it in this picture. That means it's almost the end of the school year though... 52 days.

Black iced coffee mixed with my vanilla Isopure- perfection!

This morning we had a benchmark girl that I had never done: Helen! It was SO chilly this morning at 6:30am, which was the worst part of the whole thing for me because my hands were frozen! The kettlebell swings were fine, but grabbing the pull up bar was really hard because my hands were pretty numb! I'm happy with my time of 11:08 Rx, and may try it again on a nice warm morning and see what happens!

Yesterday I made these mini frittatas to bring as a little appetizer for Easter. They are such an awesome (and super easy) snack or part of a meal, and now they're part of our weekly meal plan! They're just peppers, onions, garlic, ham, and egg- all of my favorite things in one cute little muffin.

On Saturday, I was folding laundry and realized that I have created the beginnings of a monster! A lululemon man monster! I'm happy because my plan worked and I made Mike fall in love with lululemon. Now when I want to go there, he doesn't moan and groan, he wants to too! It's quite perfect actually.

Friday's WOD was harder than it looked at first, but I was so so happy to have running back on the board!

I was pretty sure Mike would beat me on this one just because of the first three movements and his long running legs, but somehow, I caught up to him and passed him when I came in from the run and started on my snatches! Then I knew I had it and I was happy to beat him {and of course cheer him on as he finished!}

On Thursday afternoon, I just planned on doing some mobility work, but for some reason, I decided to join a few people on a five mile run. I guess I was just really excited to be able to run and be outside- it was fun and felt really good!

Earlier that morning, I got a new deficit deadlift one rep max of 290#! I was real happy because I was going for 275#, but it went up easy and my coach had me add fives and two and a halfs. This is great news for me because my regular deadlift one rep was 290# six weeks ago, so I am hoping that number will go up into the 300 club during the next strength cycle!! Eek! There is a video of me lifting 290# on my Instagram (@liftinginlilly) if you want to check it out!

Other than that little rewind, I'm still shadowing the On-Ramp program at my box, and making some new plans/goals Crossfit-wise. Oh, here is where I ended up for the Open 2015.

 Out of females in the Northeast:

And out of all women worldwide:

I'm really proud of how I did after only 10 months of doing Crossfit!

That's all for now!!

Have a good night :)
