I had one goal for Monday morning: go fast. It was a pretty simple, quick workout because of the Open workout, so I tried to fly through it.
I finished in 5:23 and was happy to beat Mike :)
Here's a little glimpse at some of my snatch work from Monday night too, just because.
Tuesday morning was deficit deadlifts 5x3. I went off of 275# for my numbers and they all felt great!
I finished with two sets of 250x3.
The kettlebell WOD was a good one, like always! The push ups got tough, but I broke them up after probably the third round and kept really good form on all of the movements, so I was happy!
My lunches this week have been this cauliflower mash I made after eating the Paleo Power Meals at the ECC's back in January. I boiled cauliflower and then mashed it and added chopped and sautéed onions, garlic, and carrots. Top that with some shredded chicken and it is sooo good!
Wednesday's WOD didn't "sound" good, but I was happy to get some double under practice and burn some fat, so I made the most of it! I actually felt really really good on the burpees for some reason!! For the first 30, I did them all at once. The second set, I broke up by 10s I think, and then the last 30, I broke into 5s. The double unders were tough when you're tired from the burpees, and I think the most I strung was around 20 at a time. Most of the time it was 12 or 15. Practice, practice, practice!
Mike got me on that one...
I am in love with my new headbands. I didn't have time to eat lunch that day, but I had time to take a picture of my head.
When I got home, there was a lovely Rogue box sitting on our doorstep. I begged Mike to let me open it and get my birthday present a little early....
I am OBSESSED with these lifters. We are going to be best friends. I am very lucky to have a husband who knows exactly what I want pretty much all of the time!
Yesterday morning, I was just exhausted. By Thursday, the week completely catches up with me, plus Mike was at the Celtics game the night before and came home late, which woke me up and I didn't sleep well. I actually didn't sleep well all week, which is really strange for me. Lots on my mind, I suppose.
I really wanted to get 135x3, and I tried three separate times and only got two reps every time. So I ended up with 130x3 and was angry.
I took it out on the kettle bell, though. My shoulders were on FIRE. FIRE!
Last night, we went and watched the announcement of 15.2 at the box. It put me in an even worse mood, just already feeling a bit defeated thinking about the chest to bar pull-ups and wondering if I'll even be able to finish the first 3 minutes. I'm not excited about it at all. I didn't do it this morning and I am not sure when I will....
When I got to school, my mood was boosted by the most thoughtful friend who won't stop buying me gifts!!! Two more days until the big 3-0...
Hope you have a happy Friday!
