Happy Christmas Eve! I wanted to write before Mike and I leave for St John in the morning!
Saturday morning, I went and did a pretty tough endurance workout before heading to New Hanpshire to celebrate my grandma's 85th birthday.
I ran all intervals at about a 6:50 min/mile pace and it was tough, but a great, super sweaty challenge.
I just wanted to show that no matter what I wear, I will match something, somehow. Even things that don't match, I make match. It's a serious talent ;)
The other day after school, I went to a very scary nail salon to get my nails done like my second grade student. It's the only place that has these special little bows and all kinds of fun things they cement onto your nails. I was scared for my life, but my white nails are ready for the holiday in the white sand!!!
It was a busy week in my classroom... We made some pretty awesome gingerbread houses, ornaments, the kids ate about 5 different kinds of cookies and cupcakes plus all the candy and cans of frosting from their gingerbread houses. It was crazy. They were crazy. But, they were so happy and excited, so I let them be loud and wild and enjoy themselves. Mostly because I get to go home to peace and quiet and then go lay on the beach in paradise <3
I am not joking when I tell you my classroom is 100 degrees. I wore tank tops and sandals all week and people look at me like I'm crazy- then at the end of the day, they tell me I'm the only one who dressed for the weather. Thank you very much.
Last night, Mike and I went to have a little Christmas dinner with my parents and exchange gifts. My mom is the world's best gift giver and they got us so much great stuff. This anniversary gift, though, might be my favorite of all. It's a watercolor of one of my favorite wedding pictures. I lovvvvvve it so much!
This morning, Mike and I lifted- deadlifts, back squats, and bench. Here are some videos I posted on IG, but figured I would share here too. It was a nice, heavy morning in the garage :)
Then, we went to breakfast at our favorite spot and now we are packing!!! Only hours left on the countdown now, and I cannot wait!!!
And one more random picture of my new sheets that make me happy. Not as happy as my flamingo sheets, but I wanted to switch it up ;)
See you in St. John!!
