My Body Fat Test + Lifting

Hi guys! I hope you've had a good week and weekend! The most exciting part of my week was going to get my body fat measured. I was very interested in finding out what I am made of, so on Wednesday night, I went and got a Hydrostatic Body Fat test done on myself. It was SO interesting and I am so glad I went and did it!

So here is how it went. I had to wear a bathing suit and bring a towel and be comfortable breathing all my air out and laying underwater, facedown, multiple times for about 6-8 seconds each time. I was. So the guy weighed me on a regular scale, then he strapped a weighted belt on my waist to keep me underwater. Then, I got into the water and did a couple practice "sinks". Each time, I got better at letting all of my air out- it wasn't easy! Then, he had to get 4 consistent measurements of my weight underwater. I probably went under 7 or 8 times total... After the 4 consistent measurements, he looked at his computer and told me that I am one lean girl! Why thank you! The results: I am 120 pounds of lean mass (muscle, bones, organs) and 10% body fat. I am so glad I went and had this test done, I just feel like I know my body even more now!

On Thursday morning, I went and ran my little heart out on my favorite treadmill and did all my lifting after school.  It was so warm out, I was sweating out in the garage and had the doors open and everything- it was great. I'd be very happy if the cold weather just never came!

Friday morning's metcon looked long- and it was! I finished in 18:59Rx, and my traps and shoulders were definitely feeling it!

I was at school way later than anyone should be on Friday, so I did my PM workout first thing on Saturday morning. I felt so so good and strong, it was great! 

I have to get one of those belts so I can start doing weighted pull-ups...

I am also back to bench pressing, which I love. LOVE. If you follow me on IG, I posted a sped up version of my last set of 5 on there (@liftinginlilly). 

On Saturday, I also went and took maternity pictures of my friends who are having a baby in January! I took their engagement pictures a couple of years ago as well, and I was so happy that they wanted me to take pictures of this special time too!! 

The rest of my Saturday involved lots of catching up on everything, which I am still not done with, but some of it is done, so it's a start :/ 

And one food picture, because I know some of you like seeing this stuff-- breakfast *not cold, and not out of Tupperware!!* Egg white omelette with broccoli, spinach, peppers, and onions and wheat toast.
