Well, this post started off as "m|t|w", but the week definitely got away from me!! Sorry!! Here's a little recap of my whole week!

 Monday

Monday ended up being a snow day for me {sooo happy!!}, but Mike and I still went to Crossfit at our regular time that morning. The WOD was really tough and made my lungs, legs, shoulders, everything burn!!!

I was very happy to have a non-snowy snow day because  I could go do some errands and catch up a little on life! Last weekend when I was in NY with my friends, I was loving so much stuff my friend Meera has. She has this beautiful condo in Brooklyn and fills it with the cutest, most fun little things, I just love her taste. For example, her shower is filled with the best Bliss Spa products, she uses Meyers candles and soaps that smell amazing and just feel nice, she has the cutest little pots for air plants and succulents that look like deer and super clean and modern, I could go on and on....

She convinced me to try her Turbie Twist when I showered instead of wearing a giant towel on my head like I always do {because I only wash my hair 2x a week}. I felt ridiculous and like an old lady, but I kind of loved it! So I went and got a pack of those and a couple of Meyers candles, soap, and counter spray. I also started trying to design my own May Designs notebook, but thee are so many choices and options, I just couldn't focus yet!!

On Monday afternoon, I went back to the Box for my Oly workout with my partner and came home to this deliciousness made by Mike! The chicken was stuffed with ham and feta.... My favorite meal he makes :)

Tuesday

It was hard to get up on Tuesday after a busy weekend and a nice snow day.... Ruby is so funny with her routine every morning. Get up, eat, go out, fly back onto the couch with me and get as cozy as possible, no matter how uncomfortable it is for me!! She will lay between my face and my iPad, dig her way between my back and the couch, or creep in between my arm and my body like this:

It was back squat day and I feel like I haven't squatted in ages. I went lighter than normal to build confidence and get back into the swing of things. I did 200 and felt great. Then, I gave my all on the kettlebell WOD and can't believe I finished with one second to spare! I was working hard and it felt awesome :)

Wednesday

It has been reallllly cold. But I am in major denial, plus my classroom is about 85 degrees {probably even more when it's sunny!} and we keep our house really warm, and when I'm not in either one of those places, I am sweating at the Box, so I feel summery most of the time!

Mike packed my lovely lunch and remembered the importance of ice packs... I like my food COLD :)

For my Oly workouts, right now we lift Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. I was very happy Wednesday was a rest night because when I got home, my amazing wedding photographer let me know that my online album of wedding pictures was ready to view!! Best news EVER!! I literally spent 4 hours looking at them and living every single one! I will share a bunch when I get the disc and can upload them here! It's wayyyy too hard to pick favorites, though :/

Thursday 

Thursday was deadlift day, and I finally felt like my strength was back! I went off my most recent 1 rep max of 280, but decided to add five pounds to those numbers because I was feeling strong!

That afternoon, Mike went back with me to do the Endurance WOD, which was 8 x 500 meter rows. I hate rowing with a passion, but it was a lot better doing it with him next to me!!

After that, we went out to dinner with my parents at a cozy Portuguese restaurant we love. It was soooo good on a night that actually did feel really cold!!

Friday 

I have not been doing the Metcons on Fridays with this Oly program I am on {my goal is 2 Metcons, 1 Endurance WOD, 2 lifting/Kettle Bell WODs, in addition to my 4 days of Oly each week} So I went and did my Oly in the morning yesterday and was able to video myself thanks to the lovely perch mount my coach got! I need to get my own because I will hog this thing!! It's very helpful when you don't have a partner there watching you and helping you figure out what you're doing right or wrong. Here is a picture I got from one of the videos that my coach was very happy with!!!
