Hi!

Welcome to my blog where I share what I eat, how I train, and how I live a happy, healthy life!

rewind

let's rewind back to Wednesday for a second. I had to bring this monster to the vet for her Lyme shot now that her 30 days of antibiotics are done. Everyone at the vet's office knows Ruby- and it's not a good thing! She knew she was on her way there somehow and was a maniac in the car...

Thursday morning was Low Bar Back Squat- I definitely prefer High Bar Back Squats, but was happy to do 10 pounds more for 5 reps and then for 3 on this. My legs were still shot from Monday and the 320 squats or whatever it was!!

And then Friday morning, I had to WOD all alone for the first time ever! It was Mike's day off, so he was getting up as I left, and when I got to the Box, everyone was all ready to go! I had to warm up a lot because I was exhausted from a tough week of workouts, a long week at school, and a late night at Open House on Thursday night.

So I watched everyone go as I warmed up, and sucked it up as soon as they finished.

I worked real hard {I think I was scared being the only one watched and pushed by my Coach!!!} and finished in 12:30. I think the Endurance WODs are helping ;)

Then it was a field trip to the Big E. Walking around with some very whiny kids for four hours was oh so fun after that workout!

The pig races and diving pigs are always a hit with the 9 year olds.

I got a giant thing of steak tips that was so good, but I let my little friends eat the last half of it because it was so huge!

The week seriously burnt me out, so we had a pretty low key weekend. Friday night was take-out and a movie because Mike and I were both completely shot. After yoga on Saturday morning, I did a little shopping, wrote out a hundred thank you notes, and cleaned the house. Then we just went for pizza and it was nice and relaxing!

This morning, I woke up to this!!!

And as soon as I saw this Hero WOD for Sergeant Riley Stephens, who died on this day in 2012, I told Mike I was doing it and he said he was in! Twenty minutes later, we were at the track, suffering to honor this brave soul.

I finished in 42:59 and Mike finished in 38:15. Those burpees- wow. But the whole time, I was thinking about why we were doing it, and the pain kind of disappeared.

This guy was yelling at me as I was finishing my last bit of the run- pushing me to sprint at the end. Thanks for that ;)

I spent some time today scattering some of my favorite things from my shower around the house...
