"day in the life" attempt

Yesterday, I started the day off trying to be organized and do a "Day in the Life" post...

But I only got the first 30 minutes of my day photo-journaled before forgetting about the whole plan. Oops. So my 5am Katy Perry "ROAR" alarm went off, and we headed downstairs for our morning routine of coffee and freaking Sports Center under the world's coziest blanket.

Then I showered while Mike made our drinks for the gym and got my lunch together. That's pretty much all I have for my "Day in the Life" post because after that, everything flew by!

It was Shoulder Press Day, five sets of 5, and I was mad because last time I did 80x5, and this time I really wanted 85x5, but I only got it for 4. I took too long of a pause between the 4th and 5th rep and it burnt me out. So, I guess I will say that I did 80x15 and 85x4 because that makes me feel a little better!!!

The book fair is going on at school and I just HAD to get this adorable book called "How to Get a Girlfriend". It is written by kindergartners and is pretty much the cutest, simplest look at love ever.

After school, I did some work in my classroom and then headed back to the Box for the EWOD. I wasn't sure if I was going to do it or not because my quads were shot {and still are!}, but I am glad I did. It actually went by pretty quick and the last set of five 200s didn't feel too too bad after the five 400s! That little star next to the 1:40:18 400, ya that's where I almost puked and died. So I slowed down a bit on the last two of those as a precaution :)

I came home to Mike making the amazing chicken, feta, and prosciutto that he made last week and a Pottery Barn box of these GIGANTIC beautiful wine glasses from my friend Di. We obviously had to try them out and have wine with dinner!! Thank you so so much, Di!

And I learned that frozen yogurt tastes better out of a china teacup! {Do you see Brutus's creepy glowing, begging eyes in the background!?}

This morning's WOD was wall balls and rope climbs. I was frustrated because I still can't climb the rope. I climbed about 3/4 of the way up once this morning and my technique is just not good because my feet feel awkward, so I need to work on those before I do them in a WOD.

I ended up doing the rope climbs from laying on the ground up to standing on a box like I've been doing all along. It felt too easy, so I know I need to move on soon. But, I did push myself by going really fast and taking no breaks at all between the wall balls and rope climbs. The endurance WODs are definitely helping, let me tell you! They also help because even when I can't breathe and feel so exhausted, I don't stop- and that is transferring over to the Metcons, so I am very happy! I finished in 6:06.

And you know you're marrying the right guy when he emails you the receipt for the shoes you've been lusting after for months!!!! Thank you so much, mister!!!!!
