how am i not sore??

I honestly have no idea how I am not insanely sore right now, but I am kinda scared that it will come on all at once any second now!!

Tuesday afternoon, I decided it was time to start doing the endurance WODs {aka EWODs}... Tuesdays and Thursdays {strength/kettle bell days}, an EWOD is posted and should be done 3 hours pre or post workout.... So I plan on doing our strength in the morning and going back after school for the EWOD. This one kicked my butt big time. My coach told me I should be going at about 75-80% effort! but I didn't really know what that was for me! I thinkkkk I went too fast on the 200s because on the first 400, I almost just quit. I literally had to tell myself that I was NOT a quitter and convince myself that even if I had to slow down, I still had to finish. And I did. I was also saying *out loud* to myself "strong legs, strong lungs" over and over and over and it actually helped regulate my breathing!

Wednesday morning, my hips and legs were sore from running, and there was some more lovely running in our WOD! But, I wanted to do well on this {hoped to get 4+ rounds}, and I did 4 rounds plus all the wall balls and *almost* all the sit ups of the 5th round- 4 sit ups and a 400 meter run short....

That night, I went back for Oly, worked on clean and jerks {working on the split jerk- feels so awkward to me}. I was pretty exhausted, but I love it.

Thursday morning, our box did a tribute WOD for September 11th. It left me feeling exactly the way I was supposed to feel.

It was pretty incredible, actually. No music. All business. All suffering together. Pushing every bit of energy and strength out of ourselves in honor of the people who lost their lives and loved ones, and the day that changed us forever.

I used all the Rx weights except on the last 4 kettle bell swings... and I had to use two ab mats under my head for the hand stand push ups, but otherwise, I wanted to push myself as much as I could. I told Mike that I think I blacked out during the row- that was the only way I could get through the almost 3000 meters.

Yesterday was also Ruby's 5th birthday and I feel bad because I didn't do anything extra special for her... I did sneak her a couple Skittles, though :)

And of course our coaches would end the week with a Benchmark Girl!! I actually loved "Diane"!

The deadlifts were no problem at all for me, but the HSPUs wore me out a bit- I do them strict, but with two ab mats under my head, so I reallllly need to break free of them soon!

And for a few bits of randomness....

I am way addicted to cold pressed juices and now I have to get two at a time- it's a real problem. This one is called "Happy Beet" and has beets, carrots, apple, and orange. So good and so beautiful. Hopefully we will get the juicer we registered for because I need to be able to make this stuff in bulk.

I took my skirt off when I got home, was about to jump in the shower, and Brutus assumed his normal creeper position right outside the bathroom door, so I made him wear my skirt for a minute. He still didn't move.

Ruby and I are real excited about the presents that have started arriving! I'm saving all the cute Pottery Barn keys that they put on the packages and have to find something cute to do with them!

I hope you all have a great weekend! Tomorrow is yoga and Oly for me! Right now, it's about time for a little wine...
