suck it up buttercup

Wednesday's wod was {again} way harder than it looked!! The sandbag thrusters were ok, but the last round of 9 felt awkward because I wasn't holding the sandbag right, I think! But really, the 200 meter run with a 50# sandbag {yes! it's really 50#, not 45#!} was what did me in.

Chin burn, knuckle burn, chewing sand, sand all down my shirt and stuck to my face and shoulder and chest and back.... It was a lovely one ;)

Luckily, my "suck it up buttercup" shirt really does make me feel tougher!!!

Thursday, we worked on our push jerk- 5 sets of 3... I got up to 125# wish is pretty good to be pushing over my head and getting under 3+ times...

We are house/dog/pool sitting for our friends right now, and Ruby takes her job very seriously!

Yesterday was Mike's day off, so we went to CrossFit a little later than normal, which is nice sometimes. It was a heavy deadlift and jump rope wod. The Rx weight for girls was 225#, and doing 7 of those is kind of insane for me, so I used 185#, which was heavy! but didn't kill me.

I was happy with my time of 5:47, considering I put on a pretty heavy weight...

Then, Mike took me to get my juice...

And we grabbed lunch to bring home... I was STARVING and ate my lunch and then half of his...

Today, I am off to yoga and then my competition partner and I are working out together getting ready for next Saturday!!! Yikes!!!
