six in a row & good decisions

this was the first week since we have started crossfit that mike and I went every day!! and I'm going tomorrow for oly, so that'll be six days in a row and I actually feel great!!!

wednesday was funny because we planned on taking a rest day, so mike went to work and I got up and saw the wod and decided I had to do it! and honestly, I wasn't very sore and didn't have much to do, so I went...

it was an awesome wod and the girl I was wodding with {joscelyn} and I definitely pushed each other to go faster! when I left, I went to visit mike at work and he decided that he wanted to go do it too!! he actually brought his workout clothes with him to work {I think he was trying to be sneaky and go without me!!!} so he took a "lunch break" and I went back with him to watch him suffer through! I also worked on pull-ups and double unders, so it was a great mid-morning second session!

i was pretty much starving after all of that, so this blueberry and banana smoothie was a quick, refreshing fix...

later that evening, I went back for a THIRD time for my oly skills class. it was great- we worked on the new burgener skills and skill transfer as well as snatches and split jerks! those split jerks will take some getting used to!

Thursday morning, I was pretty exhausted. the push jerks went ok, but I wish I had been able to get 125# for 3--- happy I got it for one though! and also happy that my coach then pushed me to do 115# five times! love him!

last night was finally nice and relaxing! mike came home and mowed the lawn since our lawnmowers *finally* were fixed and delivered after almost three weeks! it's amazing how much better everything feels now that our yard looks nice again! when he was done, we headed out for dinner, which always feels so good after a long day/busy week!

today is mikes day off {yay!}, so we got up at 6 instead of 5 haha, and headed to crossfit for a pretty basic, little killer of a wod. this is the kind of workout we will be doing lots of when we are in St. John for 2+ weeks in December!! the cutoff time was 20 minutes and mike came close to finishing all three rounds, but he ended up being 20 push-ups short...

I had a bit of a mental struggle during the push-ups and was contemplating just going to my knees to get them done faster, but I figured that even if I did that, I wouldn't finish in under 20 minutes. so I decided that I would rather rx the wod and do the push-ups fully. I'm so so glad I did!

i finished two rounds plus a 200 meter run and 25 more air squats-- not bad :)

we are now on our way to the beach, which was a super last minute decision, but a really good one!
