would've been a rest morning

Wednesday morning would have definitely been a rest morning for me if we weren't leaving for two weeks!!! I was EXHAUSTED and finally felt like I could've slept for hours and hours. Butttt I sucked it up and saw this WOD and every part of it looked terrible to me except for the cleans!! And it was really hard. I actually felt out of shape and had to stop between each part to breathe or else I was going to totally not be ok. The first half and even through the cleans was good and I went pretty quick, but after that it killed. My grip was completely smoked after the cleans and I could barely hold te jump rope- then the bar for the knees to elbows. Oh my lord.

I finished under the time cap {which I honestly didn't know if I would when I first read the WOD} and felt like I need to work way more on my endurance. I just hate rowing oh so much- can't wait to RUN for the next two weeks!!!

At school, some really awesome and lovely people made my day with this gorgeous {and SOOO "me"} wedding gift! I can't wait to fill it with something beautiful!

And they also had my students make me the most adorable book, which made me think about this tough year a little differently for a moment. The messages they wrote me are really sweet and some are just hilarious and oh-so-nine- year-old!!! It is something I will keep forever <3

Last night at Oly, we did soooo much snatch work and worked on keeping/building a strong overhead position--- it was a good session!!! And then this morning, I went and did my oly work instead of back squats. I was so sad to know that I was leaving my second home and my second family for two weeks!! I'll miss it/them a lot, but I am ready for this amazing adventure ahead of us!!

Mike and I are sitting in a tiny airport bar right now waiting for our flight to St. John!!

I will be blogging throughout our trip and about the wedding, so stay tuned!!!!!
