shake it off

Yesterday's WOD was a great shake out WOD after Hero Week! Seven minutes does not sound like or look like a lot, but let me tell you, this was a serious burner! I wanted to puke!!

The thrusters felt light and easy, but mixed with the burpee box jumps, on tired quads, shoulders, and chest it killed! I also miscounted for awhile {maybe the last two rounds} and did 9 burpee box jumps instead of 7 {I was thinking back to "McGhee" from Friday, which had 9 box jumps per round!!}

And then my Monday turned into the worst Monday in the history of me. It was just a terrible day that felt like six days in one. I was very happy to go to bed last night, let's just put it that way!

I woke up this morning rested and ready for some deadlifts, all while listening to "Shake It Off" in my head on repeat! I worked off my projected 1 rep max {280#} and felt great on all my lifts. The last two sets of 225# felt easy-ish, which is really good considering how torn up my insides must be from last week and especially "McGhee" on Friday where I did 70 195# deadlifts!

The kettle bell WODs are back {no strength or KB WODs} and today was a quad killer!!! Ten minute AMRAP {as many rounds as possible} of 20 air squats and 10 Russian swings. I pushed real hard and got 11 rounds Rx.

30 days until we leave, and I could literally not be any more excited!!! I {WE} may never come back!
