saturday + sunday

Yesterday morning was so super rainy- the perfect morning to spend in the Box! I went to yoga and got all stretched out, then worked in Snatches. I did snatch 113#, which I am pretty sure is the most I've done, but I danced around a lot when I stood with it overhead and didn't put my feet planted back together before dropping it. I definitely felt a lot stronger snatching that weight, though, and I know that if I could just get way behind the bar and really pull myself under fast, I could lift even more. Practice, practice, practice!! Even when practice rips your hands open and you have to perform surgery on yourself. Chalk heals all wounds, though ;)

I came home to Ruby taking her Saturday very seriously:

Later on, we went for dinner and drinks with some Crossfit friends, and it was nice knowing Mike didn't have to work today, and we didn't have much we had to do.

Except meal plan. And grocery shop. And prep food for the week. All very important.

Here's what I got at the grocery store. We have chicken and ground turkey always stocked in the freezer, so I didn't get any of that, and Mike went to a different store for our steaks for tonight.

And bananas. Can't forget the bananas. These will probably last us until Wednesday- not kidding!

Mike mowed the lawn while I cleaned and got all of our food prepped, chopped fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc.

Tonight, my parents came over for dinner and it felt so nice using all of our new, matching, beautiful stuff we got at our shower! My mom got me an awesome book called, "A Survival Guide for Landlocked Mermaids". It is perfection. This is my favorite page. I just love every word of it.
