inhaling chalk

Wednesday, my legs were realllll sore from the 5x5 back squats and the 5x1000m row I did on Tuesday! So of course, a mainly running WOD was on the program ;)

This WOD was a 20 minute SPRINT! Mainly because I was trying to keep up with Mike!! And I DID! Thank goodness for my coaches who were yelling at me through the last set of over the bar burpees, because they definitely pushed me hard! I was so hot and sweaty, and felt awesome when we finished ;)

Last night at Barbell Club, we did a bunch of snatch skill work and overhead squats. I can't believe my sore legs could handle all of this, but they did, and honestly I think it helped them recover a little. My traps, on the other hand, are pretty massive and pretty shot at this point!

I loved this when I saw it on Instagram {@liftinginlilly is my new name on there}. Mike and I certainly do all of these things together everyday, and it makes me happy knowing that our life and relationship is built on teamwork and a healthy lifestyle <3

Good thing, because it's almost time to get married!!!!!

This morning, I made myself real proud {and I think I made my coach real proud too, which makes me super happy!} A week and a half ago, we did deadlift 5x5 and I got up to 225x5, but definitely had more in me. So today, my coach helped me plan my numbers {definitely didn't go off my old 1RM of 250!}

I was literally scared when I saw these numbers written on the floor. 250# was my old 1RM in August, and that was tough! I also did deficit deadlifts since then and my max was 250#, so doing 3 of them {twice} scared me! It's so crazy though, because I trust my coach so much and if he tells me I can totally get a certain weight, I believe I can too, and I get it! Best coach ever, I tell you!

I also am a chalk whore- it's getting to be a serious problem when you have to drink and inhale the chalk. I neeeed it though!

I was certain {and hoping!} we would have a mobility WOD after that, but a Kettle Bell WOD was up! 20 swings, 200 meter run AMRAP. I didn't go crazy on this because I was just so happy with my deadlifts, but I got 6 rounds in 10 minutes.
