before you know it, it's over

I *thought* I had double unders DOWN after last Wednesday's partner WOD and my miraculous skill!! That was until two things happened: I switched my jump rope to my new RX Smart Gear one, which I love, but have to get used to, and my legs got so tired that I couldn't feel them!

So I did about 25 double unders and switched to single unders for the rest.... Baby steps :) But, I used 73# for this killer, which was pretty heavy, but a good weight for me. I finished in 7:14 and then Mike and I went for mile cool down jog.

After school, it was super sunny, so the dogs and I spent a few minutes relaxing on the deck. I really am not a fan of fall or winter at all, but the sun and cool fresh air felt nice at the end of a Monday.

This morning was High Bar Back Squat {my fave!!!} 5x5. I went off my 1 rep max from August, which was 230#, to get my first 4 sets. For the fifth set, I decided to go up because it felt smooth and easy, so I got 190x5, no problem. Next time, I'll definitely go up to 195x5 because I feel much stronger these days.

The Kettle Bell WOD was a serious shoulder burner, and I used the 35# kettle bell and did all of the hand release push-ups Rx. I was doing two at a time at some points because of the insane burn, but is finished in 6:09.

And then this afternoon, I hung out with my worst-friend, best-enemy: the rower. I did 5x1000 meters with a 2 minute rest between intervals. Ow ow ow. My slowing down was very consistent ;) I wanted to die/quit/cry, but did none of those things! I sucked it up and am now better for it! Keep it coming, because before you know it, it's over!

I hope you had a good start to your week!
